BU Takes Second in HAAC Competition

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University cheer and dance team took home second place as a squad in the 2014 HAAC Spirit Squad Competition on Saturday, Feb. 15 on its home floor inside the Collins Center.

Avila University took home the championship and was awarded the 2014 HAAC Championship banner and Graceland took home third place.

In the Cheer All-Girl division Avila took home first and was followed up by Central Methodist in second and Benedictine in third.

In the Cheer CO-ED competition Missouri Valley was awarded first-place and Graceland took second, while Baker finished third.

The large dance championship was awarded to Avila, with Graceland taking second and Benedictine coming in third.

The home team Wildcats finished first in the small dance category with Mo Valley taking home second and CMU finishing third.

In the final competition of the day, Avila again came out victorious with a first place finish in the Hip Hop dance, while Graceland took second and Missouri Valley was third.
