Volleyball team splits day one at MNU Invitational

OLATHE, Kan. – The Baker women’s volleyball team split their opening matches at the MNU Invitational this past weekend in Olathe, Kan.

Morning action saw the Wildcats defeat Grand view, 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-13).  Brooke Pryor led the offensive attack with 17 kills, Jana Boss chipped in with 29 assists. Brooke Allen anchored the defense with 18 digs.

The afternoon matches didn’t treat the Wildcats as kindly. Baker fell in straight-sets to No. 21 Bellevue University, 21-25, 19-25, 23-25. Highlighting the afternoon was Jana Boss (pictured) who recorded 32 assists in the contest.

Baker will be back in action on Saturday at the MNU Classic when they Hastings and Dordt Colleges.
