In the first match against Grace, Jana Boss led the way with six kills, 1.5 blocks and a team high 24 assists.
In the second match of the night, Savannah Smith led Baker with 14 kills and junior Jasmyn Turner added 10 kills.
Jana Boss led the team in assists with 32 assists and freshman Danielle French had a solid match with four aces and 4.5 blocks.
Baker will compete in day two of the tournament with two matches on Saturday against Valley City State at 11 a.m. and Dakota Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
