Baker sustained many runs thrown at them by the Owls and posted a solid hitting percentage of .265 as a team.
Savannah Smith and Crystal Simon tied for the team lead with 15 kills each and Danielle French joined them with double-digit kills with 14. French led the team in hitting percentage at .458.
Jana Boss led the way with 42 assists and added 15 digs with two solo blocks at big moments in the match.
After a 21-25 loss in the second set, Baker came storming out to a commanding 7-0 lead in the third set to force an Owl timeout and never looked back from that point on, dominating the third set, 25-11. That momentum carried the Wildcats into the fourth deciding set.
Renata Dill led the way with 21 digs and Smith had 17. Baker had 14 total team blocks, with French supplying five of her own and Shannon Bond went up and collected three blocks as well.
Baker still has four more matches on the slate this weekend, as they face Sterling College at 11 a.m. and Friends University at 3 p.m. at the Baker Invitational Tournament at Collins Gym.
