BU Lands Six on All-Conference Team

BUBALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team landed six players on the 2013 HAAC All-Conference Teams, announced on Tuesday.

Highlighting the list for Baker was freshman setter Hannah Bettge and senior libero Renata Dill who were both named to the First Team.

Bettge was also named the HAAC Freshman of the Year, an award that Baker has captured the last two seasons. Danielle French earned the award in 2012.

French was named to the HAAC All-Conference Second Team, as were teammates Crystal Simon and Jasmyn Turner and newcomer Shannon McCarty earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-Conference team.

Bettge was just one of two freshmen named to the First Team, joining the Gardner, Kan., native was Evangel's middle hitter Morgan Kensinger.

Attacker of the Year – Kamrin Gold, Culver-Stockton
Setter of the Year – Taryn Salum, MidAmerica Nazarene
Libero of the Year – Denise Atualevao, Graceland
Freshman of the Year – Hannah Bettge, Baker
Coach of the Year – Kristin Steele, MidAmerica Nazarene
Assistant Coach of the Year – Pam Luiz, MidAmerica Nazarene
