BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker volleyball team returned to its home court in grand fashion this past weekend. The Wildcats swept the BU invitational winning all four-tournament games against McKendree College, Oklahoma City University, Sterling College and John Brown University.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker volleyball team (5-4, 1-0) will get things kicked off at home this weekend when they host the Baker Invitational.

The weekend will include a full-slate of games; Baker will face McKendree (4-1, 0-0) at 3:00 p.m. CT on Friday and Oklahoma City University (1-3, 0-0) at 7:00 p.m. CT Friday. The Wildcats will return to the court on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT against Sterling College (3-2, 0-1) and 5:00 p.m. CT against John Brown University (6-2, 0-0).

The Wildcats completed another successful weekend, going 2-2 in the Bellevue Labor Day Invitational to even their overall record at 4-4.

BELLEVUE, Neb. – The Baker volleyball team will yet again face two teams ranked in the Tachikara-NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll this weekend at the Bellevue Classic. The Wildcats will face No. 18 Morningside College (3-3) at 1:00 p.m. CT on Friday, before closing the day out against Concordia (4-2) at 3:00 p.m. CT.

Saturday’s action features a 9:00 a.m. CT showdown with No. 20 Doane College (2-2) and a 1:00 p.m. CT match with Midland Lutheran (3-2).

POINT LOMA, Calif. - Jana Boss played a key role yet again, assisting the Baker attackers 21 times en route to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-19) sweep of San Diego Christian College.

Brooke Pryor led the squad with 12 kills, Christina Delladio added eight and Jana Boss had six of her own.

The Wildcats improved to 2-1 on the season with the win. Baker will now face No. 2 Concordia (Calif.) at 3:00 p.m. PST in the final game of the tournament. Live stats of the game can be viewed here

POINT LOMA, Calif. - The Baker women's volleyball team showed just how deep and talented they might really be today. In the matinee game this afternoon the Wildcats fell in four sets to No. 3 California Baptist University in a match that could've gone in either direction.

The Wildcats swiftly took game one 25-18, before dropping the next three sets (20-25, 22-25, 23-25).

"I think we played really well regardless of the outcome," said assistant coach Matt Windle. "We really hung in there for a while, but these guys are a really good team, and their No. 3 ranking shows it," Windle said.
