BU volleyball improves to 5-0 with victory over Benedictine
ATCHISON, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team sits atop the conference standings with MidAmerica Nazarene after defeating Benedictine College, 3-0 on Tuesday evening.
Sydney Pemberton led the Baker offensive attack with 12 kills, while Jana Boss added 25 assists.
Both Brooke Allen (14 digs) and Savannah Smith (10 digs) anchored the Baker defense. Allen also recorded two service aces in the contest.

Wildcats defeat non-conference foe Tabor; look forward to Benedictine
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Saturday afternoon, defeating Tabor College 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-17).
Christina Delladio led the Baker offense, recording seven kills and two blocks. Setter Jana Boss added 34 assists and libero Brooke Allen finished with 13 digs.
Baker (15-10, 4-0 HAAC) travels to Benedictine College (8-14, 3-1 HAAC) for a key conference showdown on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

Coach Allen ranks among BU’s best of all time
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Tuesday night will go down as one of the all-time special moments in Baker athletics history.
With a 3-1 victory over Graceland at the Collins Center, Wildcat head volleyball coach Kathy Allen recorded her 300th career win, becoming only the second Baker coach in any sport to achieve that milestone.
The longest tenured coach at Baker with 13 years of service, Allen’s teams annually rank among the elite in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and perform well in the classroom with five recent players earning NAIA scholar-athlete recognition.

Wildcat cruise past CMU as coach Allen wins 299th career game
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker women’s volleyball team definitely wasn’t going to look past Central Methodist (3-9, 0-3 HAAC) on Tuesday evening at the Collins Center.
The Wildcats, 13-10 overall and an undefeated 3-0 in conference defeated the Eagles in three sets (25-9, 25-11, 25-14).
Christina Delladio led the Wildcats with nine kills on the night, while Sydney Pemberton (seven kills) and Savannah Smith (six kills) each added to the offensive effort. Setter Jana Boss had 24 helpers in the game.

Wildcats sweep local rival Ottawa 3-0
OTTAWA, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team continued its hot streak on Tuesday evening defeating local rival Ottawa University 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-20). With the victory, Baker improved to 11-9 on the season, moving head coach Kathy Allen to within three victories of 300 for her career.
Senior Christina Delladio led the way offensively recording 14 kills and eight blocks. Junior setter Jana Boss had 31 assists in the contest and libero Brooke Allen added 10 digs.

Boss and Allen named HAAC Players of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Baker junior Jana Boss (Shawnee Mission, Kan.) and senior Brooke Allen (Topeka, Kan.) have been named HAAC Setter of the Week and HAAC Libero of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Boss claimed her second weekly setter award in three weeks as the Wildcats posted a 4-2 record last week. She had a pair of 40-plus assist performances, including 41 assists and 19 digs in a five-set win over Grand View (Iowa). She also had 11 kills, 36 assists, 12 digs and one block in a 3-1 win over NCAA DII Southwest Baptist.

Baker volleyball upsets NCAA DII Southwest Baptist University
BOLIVAR, Mo. – After defeating Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) rival Evangel University 3-2 on Tuesday night, the Baker women’s volleyball came back and did it again on Wednesday afternoon against Southwest Baptist University 3-1.
Three players led the way offensively for the Wildcats as Savannah Smith tallied a team high 14 kills, while Jana Boss and Christina Delladio each added 13.
Libero Brooke Allen and setter Jana Boss recorded season-highs in the contest with 34 digs and 36 assists respectively.

Wildcats upset Evangel 3-2 on the road
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Head coach Kathy Allen knew her team would learn some lessons from the stiff competition they faced earlier in the season – Tuesday evening it paid off.
Baker (7-7, 2-0 HAAC) defeated Evangel (11-2, 0-1 HAAC) giving them just their second overall loss of the season and first conference defeat.
Juniors Savannah Smith and Jana Boss led the way offensively recording 15 kills and 29 assists respectively. Defensively senior Christina Delladio added four blocks and senior Brooke Allen chipped in with 13 digs.
