Baker wins 19th straight, Head coach Kathy Allen wins 250th game
The Lady ‘Cats continued their winning ways this weekend when they traveled to the Ottawa University Dual. In the first game of the day Baker took down Ottawa 3-0 (25-20,25-16,25-17). Brooke Pryor recorded 10 kills, Brooke Allen had 22 digs and Jana Boss recorded 30 assists. Game two featured Baker taking on Bethel College. Baker took the game 3 sets to 1 (28-26,25-22,20-25,25-19). Brooke Pryor recorded 20 kills, Brooke Allen had 30 digs and Jana Boss 37 assists. When things were over at the end of the day, 12 year veteran coach Kathy Allen had won her 250th game. “We need everyone to show up Tuesday evening for the big match-up against Benedictine, the game is absolutely huge for us,” stated Allen. The Wildcats now sit a 20-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The ‘Cats will be back in action Tuesday evening when they take on conference rival Benedictine College (12-3)(2-1) at 7:00 p.m. in the Collins Center.

Volleyball takes down Culver-Stockton 3-0 with ease
The usual suspects were back in action on Wednesday evening at the Collins Center. Brooke Pryor led the way offensively with 17 kills, Brooke Allen led the way defensively with 29 digs, and Jana Boss chipped in with 33 assists as Baker won their 17th consecutive game. The Wildcats now sit at 18-1 overall and 3-0 in conference. Baker will travel to Ottawa University this weekend to take on Bethlel College, and Ottawa in their annual dual meet. Lady 'Cats home opener tonight at Collins Center, game to be featured on webcastThe Lady 'Cats of Baker have racked up 16 consecutive wins coming into play tonight. Brooke Pryor, Brooke Allen, and Jana Boss swept the weekely HAAC awards for the second consecutive week (HAAC and School records). The Wildcats sit at 17-1 on the season, and are currently receiving 9 votes in the NAIA Top 25 poll. Brooke Pryor leads the HAAC with 4.15 kills per game, and ranks 11th nationally in the same category. Wildcats sweep HAAC Player of the Week awards again
For the first time in the history of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, Baker volleyball has swept the conference honors for the second consecutive week. Brooke Pryor was named Player of the Week after recording 64 kills over the weekend. Brooke Allen was named Libero of the Week after recording 78 digs this past weekend. Jana Boss was named Setter of the Week after recording 152 assists this past weekend. The Wildcats will be back in action Wednesday evening when they host Culver-Stockton College at 7:00 p.m. from the Collins Center.

Baker Volleyball wins 16th consecutive game
The Baker women’s volleyball team continued their hot streak this past weekend, when they swept all four games at the MidAmerica Invitational. On Friday afternoon Baker defeated Sterling College and Grace College 3-0 respectively. On Saturday afternoon the ‘Cats took on Ottawa University and Grand View College with the exact same results defeating Ottawa 3-1 and Grand View 3-0. Brroke Pryor led the team with 64 kills on the weekend ranking her 13th nationally with 12.54 kills per game. Lady 'Cats sweep HAAC Player of the Week honors
The Baker women’s volleyball team received three conference honors on Monday. Brooke Pryor was named Player of the Week, Brooke Allen was named Libero of the Week, and Jana Boss was named Setter of the Week. Brooke Pryor was also the conference nominee for National Player of the Week.

Lady ‘Cats dominate Baker Invitational
The Baker University volleyball team had high hopes coming into this weekend, and they didn’t disappoint. The ‘Lady Cats went undefeated on the weekend defeating Park University, Oklahoma City University, Ottawa University, and The University of Sioux Falls.
“I was very proud of the team this weekend. We won the games we were supposed to win, and our best match of the weekend against Oklahoma City University was a clinic in great volleyball. We’ve never beaten them before, so it was thrilling for the team,” said Coach Allen.

Baker takes HAAC opener at Avila University
The Baker Wildcats took the HAAC opener Wednesday evening at Avila University defeating the Eagles by a score of 3-0,(25-15,25-20,25-23). Junior Brooke Pryor (pictured) recorded 13 kills, while Junior Christina Delladio chipped in with 12. Brooke Allen led Baker with 19 digs en route to the 'Cats first conference victory of 2009. The Wildcats will travel to Chicago, Illinois this weekend where they will participate in a two day tournament at St. Xavier University. Check back for full updates on this weekend's matches.
