Wildcats fall in HAAC Semifinals to Lindenwood, 3-1


ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The dream season the Wildcats had envisioned just wasn’t meant to be in 2010. The Wildcats were knocked out of the HAAC Semifinals on Wednesday evening at Lindenwood University.

Baker volleyball defeats William Jewell in round one of HAAC PlayoffsSavannah SMith

LIBERTY, Mo. – The Baker women’s volleyball team, a No. 6 seed in the HAAC Playoffs upset No. 3 William Jewell College 3-2 on Saturday evening.

Offensively, sophomore Savannah Smith led the way recording 21 kills, while Brooke Allen anchored the defense with 52 digs.

The Wildcats will now travel to St. Charles, Mo., to face No. 2 seeded Lindenwood University on Wednesday evening.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University seniors Brooke Pryor (Overbrook, Kan.) and Kendra Stephens (Olathe, Kan.) will play in their final regular-season home match as the Wildcats face Avila University on Senior Night in HAAC volleyball action Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., from the Collins Center.

OLATHE, Kan. - It wasn’t the result the Wildcats expected, but MidAmerica Nazarene came out hungry and swiftly defeated Baker 3-1 on Tuesday evening.

Volleyball team goes undefeated at Haskell Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Baker volleyball team got back on track this weekend winning games against Oklahoma Wesleyan (3-0), College of the Ozarks (3-1) and Haskell Indian Nations (3-0).

Senior Brooke Pryor led the team offensively recording 42 kills on the weekend.  Setter Jana Boss was stellar recording 101 assits.

“I think we’re gonna bounce back just fine after our loss to Benedictine,” said head coach Kathy Allen. “Our goal is to win out from this point on.”

Baker volleyball to host DIG PINK match on Tuesday


BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University Lady ‘Cats volleyball team will host Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) foe Benedictine College on Tuesday, October 19, in its first annual “DIG PINK” match for breast cancer awareness. First serve is slated for 7 p.m., at the George F. Collins Center.
