Volleyball cruises into HAAC finals with 3-0 victory over Graceland

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – After playing a gut-wrenching back-and-fourth battle in the first set, the Baker women’s volleyball team got back on track to defeat Graceland in straight sets Wednesday evening.
Baker took set one 29-27, before rattling off a 25-22 victory in set two and a match clinching 25-19 victory in set three.

Baker volleyball faces Graceland in HAAC semifinal game

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team will look to keeps its postseason run alive on Wednesday evening as they host Graceland University at 7 p.m., in the George F. Collins Center.
Baker (25-10, 10-0) is currently the No. 1 overall seed in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and is coming off a commanding 3-0 victory over Avila University in the HAAC quarterfinals.

Wildcat volleyball team cruises past Avila
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Avila University in the opening round of the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference playoffs.
Baker jumped out to an early lead in the first set, defeating the Eagles 25-18. The ‘Cats didn’t look back from there as Baker won set two 25-14 and set three 25-17.

Baker volleyball team set to open playoff run Saturday evening

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker women’s volleyball team will begin its quest for the 2011 HAAC Tournament Championship on Saturday evening against Avila University in the opening round of the HAAC Playoffs.
Top-seeded Baker (24-10, 9-0 HAAC) is coming of its first regular season Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship under 14th year head coach Kathy Allen.

BU volleyball team takes regular season HAAC crown

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team won its first regular season HAAC championship under head coach Kathy Allen Tuesday evening with a 3-0 victory over Peru State College.
Baker (24-10, 9-0 HAAC) won each of the three sets by a score of 26-24 in comeback fashion.
Senior Sydney Pemberton led the way offensively with nine kills, while Jasmyn Turner and Christina Delladio each added seven. Delladio also had nine blocks in the contest.

Wildcats guaranteed a share of 2011 HAAC Title

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baker women’s volleyball team made quick work out of Avila University Wednesday evening, defeating the Eagles in straight sets, 25-16, 25-13, and 25-21.
Christina Delladio led the way offensively recording 13 kills and two blocks. Sydney Pemberton added to the offensive output with 11 kills and 1.5 blocks.

Volleyball team can secure share of HAAC Championship tonight

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baker University volleyball team can secure at least a share of the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship tonight with a victory over Avila University.
Baker (22-10, 7-0 HAAC) is currently riding an 11-game winning streak with two games remaining in the regular season.

Baker volleyball grabs key 3-1 victory over MidAmerica Nazarene

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University volleyball team won a key HAAC match-up on Tuesday evening, defeating MidAmerica Nazarene 3-1.
After jumping out to an early 2-0 set lead, MidAmerica managed to battle back in the third set, and really made things interesting in the fourth before the Wildcats finally put the Pioneers away.
Three Baker players recorded double-digit kills as Savannah Smith led the offensive attack with 12, while Christina Delladio and Sydney Pemberton each added 11.
