HAAC semifinal action tonight, winner advances to title game
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University's women's volleyball team will play for a spot in the HAAC title game when they face Evangel University in the HAAC semifinals at 7 p.m.
The Lady 'Cats (32-3) defeated MidAmerica Nazarene last Saturday 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 26-24). Offensively, the 'Cats are led by junior Brooke Pryor, who averages 4.2 kills per set, which ranks No. 9 in the NAIA and No. 1 in the HAAC.
Defensively, Brooke Allen is in a league of her own. Allen ranks No. 2 in the NAIA with 6.9 digs per set and 865 total digs. Both Allen and Pryor combined have compiled nine HAAC Player of the Week awards this season.

Baker volleyball rolls into the second round of HAAC playoffs
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Wildcats didn't waste any time moving on in the HAAC playoffs. Baker took down MidAmerica Nazarene in three-straight sets (27-25, 25-17, 26-24).
Brooke Pryor (pictured) led the way offensively with 23 kills. NAIA leader Brooke Allen continued her dominance as the best defensive specialist in the nation, recording 27 digs.
Pryor closed the game out with a floor-thumping kill to close out set three, 26-24.
Baker will be back in action Wednesday when they host round 2 of the HAAC playoffs at 7 p.m. at the Collins Center.

Volleyball sets regular season record with 31 wins
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Baker women's volleyball team closed out its 2009 regular season campaign on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep over MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Before the contest, senior Nikki Anderson was honored for her contributions over the past three seasons to BU volleyball. "BU volleyball was the most important thing to me over the past four years at Baker," said Anderson. Kathy Allen touched on how special it is to see a JV player grow and finally reach the varsity ranks. "Nikki came up through the ranks. I give her all the credit in the world for the player she has become today," stated Allen.

Baker volleyball wins 30th game
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - The Baker women's volleyball team claimed its 30th victory of the season on Tuesday evening against William Jewell College.
Offensively the ’Cats were led by junior Christina Delladio, who recorded 15 kills in the contest. Following closely behind was HAAC leader, Brooke Pryor, who recorded 12.
Defensively, Brooke Allen was at it again. Allen recorded 46 digs in the contest, and continues to lead the NAIA with 6.8 digs per set.

Baker takes on William Jewell College live on the Internet
The Lady ’Cats come into play tonight on the verge of winning 30 games for the first time in school history, which would eclipse last season’s win total by eight games. Brooke Allen is No. 1 in the NAIA with 6.8 digs per set. Brooke Pryor ranks No. 3 nationally with 485 total kills.
Last weekend the Wildcats knocked off Haskell 3-0 and College of the Ozarks 3-1. The College of the Ozarks was ranked ahead of the Wildcats in last week’s NAIA top 25 poll.
William Jewell College has a 13-18 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Jewell has lost two of its last four games and is sixth in the HAAC standings.

Pryor and Allen named to HAAC weekly awards for third and fourth time
Brooke Pryor was named HAAC Hitter of the Week along with HAAC Player of the Week after recording 68 kills over her past four games. This was the third time this season Pryor has been named to the list. By receiving the Player of the Week honor, she will automatically be nominated for National Player of the Week, which will be announced on Monday afternoon.
Brooke Allen (pictured) was named HAAC Libero of the Week for the fourth time this season on Monday. Allen recorded 115 digs over her past four games. She currently ranks No. 1 in the country in digs per game with an average of 6.8 per set.
The Wildcats currently own a record of 29-3 on the season.
