GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Baker University women's track and field team was honored with seven 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Track and Field Scholar-Athletes, announced this week at the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

 

The seven Wildcats honored were junior Kerry Kurta, junior Paige Rockers, senior Megan Rosa, senior Valarie Schirmer, senior Jenna Stanbrough, senior Katie Thurbon and Katelyn Wolken.

Concordia (Neb.) led all institutions with 20 individuals on the list. Doane (Neb.) was next with 17 student-athletes and Oklahoma Baptist sits third with 15.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
