Stephanie Nelson named Women’s HAAC Field Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Baker University freshman Stephanie Nelson (Kansas City, Mo.) was named HAAC Field Athlete of the Week after recording two second-place finishes and one third-place finish at the Central Methodist University Invitational, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Nelson set a school record with her second-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.95 meters. She also recorded a second-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 40.06 meters, moving her into second all-time in the Baker record books.
