BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University track and field team again picked up two Heart of America Athletic Conference weekly awards on Monday, as freshman Jeremy Bryan picked up his second HAAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award and sophomore Tyler Sloan took home the HAAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor.

Bryan was also last week's winner, but over the weekend the Olathe, Kan., native had a strong performance at the KU Jayhawk Classic taking fourth-place in the 1,000 meters and recorded a NAIA National "B" qualifying mark of 2:33.73.

Bryan will represent the conference in the running for the weekly NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, which will be announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Sloan broke one of her own school records over the weekend also at the KU Jayhawk Classic, as she posted two top five finishes. A sophomore from Kansas City, Kan., she posted a time of 8.76 in the 60m hurdles, besting her school record time and ended up finishing second in the finals at 8.80.

She also took fifth place in the 200m with a time of 25.68. Baker will next compete this weekend on Feb. 1-2 in Warrensburg, Mo., at the University of Central Missouri's Mule Relays.
