Baker Posts Four NAIA All-Americans

GENEVA, Ohio – The Baker University track and field team posted four NAIA All-Americans on day three of the 2014 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

Kayla Hannam took home 5th-place in the triple jump finals with a mark of 11.58-meters to become an All-American, teammate Billi Pipes finished 7th in the women's 200-meter finals in a time of 24.81 and Ty Sloan became the third female Baker athlete to earn All-American status with her 5th-place finish in the 60-meter hurdle finals in a time of 8.78.

Jeremy Gathright took 5th in the men's 400-meter finals in 48.65 to capture another NAIA All-America honor for the senior and he competed in his final meet in a Baker uniform.

In other action on Saturday, Valerie Schirmer and Stephanie Nelson competed in the women's shot put with Nelson taking 11th and Schirmer finishing 20th.
