Women’s Golf Adds Two for 2014-15 Class

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Baker University head women's golf coach Karen Exon announced her 2014-15 signing class on Tuesday, with the signing of Bailey Rockers of Anderson County HS and Bailey Gibson of Olathe South HS.

"I am very pleased to have signed two outstanding young women who come to Baker University with exceptional academic records, demonstrated citizenship and strong leadership skills," said Exon. "In addition to fitting in well with academic and personal achievements, they are sure to enhance our individual and team depth."

Both Rockers and Gibson are four-time Kansas Girl's Golf state tournament qualifiers. Rockers finished 10th in 2013 at Crestwood CC (Pittsburg), earning a top-20 medal; 37th in 2012 at Hesston Golf Park; 32nd in 2011 at Topeka CC; and 51st in 2010 at Cherry Oakes GC (Cheney).

Gibson earned two top-20 medals--8th place in 2013 at Buffalo Dunes GC (Garden City) and 17th place in 2012 at Rolling Hills CC (Wichita) to go along with 26th at Shadow Glen CC (Olathe) in 2011 and T31 at Manhattan CC in 2010.

The 2013-2014 Baker women's golf team had another banner year, as they featured a team with no seniors, won the 2014 HAAC Conference Championship (its second-straight) and finished 24th at the 2014 NAIA Women's Golf national championship
