BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Freshman Baker University women’s golfer Lindsey Mateer was selected the first Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for the 2012-13 season.
Mateer was an all-tournament selection for the Wildcats at the season-opening William Jewell Invitational at the Cardinal Hill Golf Club.
A native of Springhill, Kan., Mateer carded rounds of 84 and 79 on the 5,920-yard, par-72 course. She finished 9th overall in her first collegiate event.
Baker will next compete this weekend at the Culver-Stockton College Tournament at Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy, Ill.
