Brandt, Strecker Earn Scholar-Athlete

LINCOLN, Neb. – Baker University senior women's golfers Bristol Brandt and Rachel Strecker were named two of 131 women's golfers from around the country 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Both Strecker and Brandt are currently competing in the 2013 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship tournament at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.

After two rounds Strecker is +49, 178 and Brandt is +57, 190. Both helped lead Baker to its first-ever Heart of America Athletic Conference team championship on May 7.
