KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four new women’s soccer teams find themselves in the Top 25 in the fifth week of the NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the NAIA announced on Tuesday. The top five is rounded out by No. 2 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 3 Lee (Tenn.), No. 4 Azusa Pacific and No. 5 Concordia (Ore.).

Lindsey Wilson retains its No. 2 rating after knocking off previously undefeated and then-ranked No. 5 William Carey (Miss.), 3-1, last Friday. The win made the Blue Raiders 8-2-1 on the season and gave them a 4-2-1 record against teams currently ranked in the Top 25.

Lee recorded back-to-back shutouts last week over No. 20 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), 2-0, and Faulkner (Ala.), 6-0, to stand firm at No. 3. Azusa Pacific posted a pair of 1-0 shutouts over Hope International (Calif.) last Tuesday and then-ranked No. 21 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) last Friday. Concordia (Ore.) moves up one spot into the top five after defeating Northwest (Wash.) 1-0, last Friday. The victory marks the third straight shutout for the Cavaliers.

Thirteen conferences are represented in the Top 25; the Golden State Athletic Conference leads all conferences with five schools. The GSAC is represented by California Baptist, Azusa Pacific, No. 9 Vanguard (Calif.), No. 17 Concordia (Calif.) and The Master’s. With the addition of Baker (Kan.), the Heart of America Athletic Conference now has four schools in the rankings. The three other HAAC schools are No. 10 Benedictine (Kan.), No. 14 Graceland (Iowa) and No. 24 William Jewell (Mo.).
