BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Head coach Nate Houser wasn’t joking when he said he was looking forward to getting senior Alix Schiraldi back in the line-up.

Schiraldi’s third goal of the day came on a cross from Ashley Ukena to give Baker the 4-3 victory over Hastings College in overtime on Monday afternoon.

The Wildcats fell behind 2-0 early courtesy of back-to-back goals from Esmeralda Lacayo of Hastings.

Schiraldi got the Wildcats on the scoreboard when she broke through two defenders after receiving a pass from Ashley Ukena. Christine Janssens followed that up with a goal on a corner from Jordan Dolbin.

Schiraldi gave the Wildcats a 3-2 lead heading into halftime when she scored on a cross from Dolbin in the 41st minute.

Maddie Michalek of Hastings tied the game 3-3 in the 54th minute. The game remained tied until Schiraldi’s goal in overtime.

The Wildcats will be back in action this upcoming weekend when they host the Wildcat Invitational Sept. 10-11.
