Baker women look to rebound in non-conference showdown Tuesday night

Baker vs Park Preview

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – It wasn’t the result the Baker women had hoped for Saturday evening when they dropped a 1-0 decision to Benedictine College.

The Ravens (9-1-3, 3-1) got on the scoreboard late when they scored in the 81st minute thanks to a goal from Kate Zachary.

BU goalkeeper Maggie Dupes recorded five saves in the contest while Alix Schiraldi had two shots on goal. Benedictine goalkeeper Carissa Gregory made four saves en route to her sixth shutout of the season.

"We played a hard game but weren't able to create the chances we needed to win," said head coach Nate Houser.

Baker (7-4-1, 2-2-1) looks to rebound on Tuesday evening when they face Park University (7-5) at 5:00 p.m., from Liston Stadium.
