Schiraldi’s early goals lift No. 14 Baker past Oklahoma Baptist

BU vs OBU Women

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Senior Alix Schiraldi scored two early goals as the Baker women’s soccer team cruised to victory over Oklahoma Baptist University 4-1 on Friday afternoon.

Courtney Anderson scored the lone goal for OBU in the 26th minute, but Jordan Dolbin and Kayla Infante answered with goals for the Wildcats in the 56th and 83rd minute respectively.

Baker goalkeeper Rachel Theobald made three saves in the contest.

“We were able to create some very good chances against a very good and athletic OBU team,” said head coach Nate Houser. “The girls did a very good job of denying space and winning balls defensively. I think we are starting to get better in transition.”

The Wildcats (4-1) return to action on Sunday afternoon against Ottawa University at 4 p.m. from Liston Stadium.
