Dolbin leads No. 19 Baker past Graceland 3-2
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Jordan Dolbin stole the show on Saturday evening as the Wildcats defeated Graceland University 3-2.
Dolbin put the Wildcats on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 17th minute on a from 22-yards out past goalkeeper Stefany Castano.
Graceland answered in the 41st minute on a goal by Karina Vega.
Ashley Ukena put the Wildcats back in front in the 52nd minute after Alexa Fryer’s tie-up with the Graceland keeper caused the ball to deflect out to Ukena.
Jordan Dolbin scored her second goal of the game just three minutes later on a free kick from 30-yards out to give Baker a 3-1 advantage.
Karina Vega would add her second goal of the game for the Yellowjackets with three minutes remaining in regulation to close the final gap to 3-2.
BU’s victory was the Yellowjackets first regular season conference loss in over five years.
Baker (7-2-0) will return to action on Oct. 12 against MidAmerica Nazarene at 1:00 p.m.
