DECATUR, Ala. – After completing its second consecutive run to the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Quarterfinals, Baker University placed four student-athletes on the 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, which was released on Friday. A total of 485 athletes earned the honor this year.
Junior Jordan Dolbin (La Mirada, Calif.), senior Maggie Dupes (Fallbrook, Calif.), senior Ashley Ukena (Topeka, Kan.), and senior Kylie White (Emporia, Kan.) rounded out this year’s squad for Baker.
“Our women continue to set a very high level with their efforts in the classroom,” said head coach Nate Houser. “It is truly amazing and inspiring to see these young women be so successful in all of their scholastic and athletic endeavors.”
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order to qualify for the honor.
