No. 9 Wildcats Win Third Straight

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The No. 9 ranked Baker University women’s soccer team won its third straight game and improved to 4-1-1 on the season with a 3-1 win over Hastings College on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Broncos fell to 0-5. Baker took 15 shots on the day with six on goal. Jordan Dolbin got the Wildcats on the board first in the 14th minute with a goal from 20-yards out on a free kick. Dolbin found the top left back of the net on the kick just past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Hannah Sendele.

Freshman midfielder Shalynn Eldridge-McMillan scored her first career goal to give Park the 2-0 lead in the 64th minute.

The Broncos cut into the lead just a few minutes later with a goal from freshman forward Nicole Barnhardt. But Baker’s Alexa Fryer connected on her sixth goal of the season in the 85th minute to put the game away.

Dolbin now has four goals on the season and leads the team in total points with 13. Baker will return home this Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m., as they take on McPherson College.
