With the loss, Baker falls to 5-2-1, while the Coyotes improve to 6-1 on the year. Karina Albarran and Emily Tielfooy shared the shutout at goalkeeper for KWU, Tielfooy had two saves and Albarran had one save.
Baker took just seven shots with three on goal and senior Jordan Dolbin led the team with three.
Melissa Martinez scored the only goal of the night in the 73rd minute with the assist going to Karlee Perez.
Rachel Theobald collected six saves with two in the first half and four in the second. Kansas Wesleyan took 16 shots with seven taken in the first and nine in the second.
Baker will return home for two matches this week, as they take on Mid-America Christian this Friday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. at Liston Stadium and Central Methodist also at home on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m.
