BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The No. 17 Baker University women’s soccer team dropped its second straight Heart of America Athletic Conference match on Saturday in a tough 2-1 loss at No. 25 Benedictine College.


The Wildcats are now 9-4-1 and 3-2 in the HAAC. The Ravens are now 14-1-1 and 4-0-1 in the conference.

Finola Corley opened up the scoring for Baker in the 8th minute to put BU up 1-0. Just two minutes later Liz Enna tied things up with a goal in the 10th minute.

Jordan Dolbin then gave Baker the lead before halftime in the 38th minute, but BC broke open the game with two goals in the 50th and 57th minute to take home the 3-2 win.

The Wildcats took seven shots on the night with three on goal and BC took 11 and five on goal. Rachel Theobald had two saves in 90 minutes of action and Ashley Holland collected one save.

Baker will hit the road again this Tuesday, Oct. 23 to take on Columbia College at 4:30 p.m.
