Baker Holds No. 22 Spot in Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After back-to-back tough conference losses, the Baker University women’s soccer team fell from No. 17 to No. 22 in this week’s NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

The Wildcats are now 9-4-1 on the year and 3-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, alone in third-place in the standings.

Baker has two matches this week, the first coming on Tuesday night at Columbia College at 5 p.m., and then returns home for senior night against Culver-Stockton, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. at Liston Stadium.

Baker will honor two seniors before the match, as Jordan Dolbin and Finola Corley will play in their final regular season game at Baker. For a look at the entire poll, click here.

Notes: (All information dates back to 1999) Lee (Tenn.) earns the No. 1 ranking for the 12th time in program history and third time this season ... Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) owns the most No. 1 rankings all-time with 41, followed by former NAIA member Azusa Pacific (Calif.) (33), Westmont (Calif.) (19), Concordia (Ore.) (16), Lee (12) and Martin Methodist (Tenn.) (10) ... Lindsey Wilson owns the longest current active streak of consecutive appearances in the Top 25 with 145 ... Concordia (124) and Lee (106) are the only other programs to occupy a spot in the poll 100-or-more consecutive weeks ... The Blue Raiders also lead the way with consecutive weeks at No. 1 with 13, spanning the 2004 - 2005 seasons ... The 2011 Lee squad is the first team to start and end the season at No. 1 ... William Carey's No. 10 rating on Sept. 18 marked the first time the Crusaders have been in the top-10 since Sept. 6, 2011 (No. 7) ... Kansas Wesleyan's No. 11 ranking is the highest in program history ... No. 20 Rocky Mountain (Mont.) joins the Top 25 for the first time since Aug. 18, 2009 ... Six of the top-10 teams have been ranked in the top-10 in every poll this season ... Concordia, Lee and Lindsey Wilson have been rated in the top three in every poll since the 2011 Postseason Poll (Dec. 6).
