OTTAWA, Kan. – For the second straight match, the No. 25 ranked Baker University women's soccer team ended the night in a tie, as they tied Ottawa University on Tuesday evening, 1-1, after playing 110 minutes of action.

Baker also tied No. 24 ranked Kansas Wesleyan University last Saturday evening, 0-0. The Wildcats are now 4-3-3 on the year.

The only goal scored for the 'Cats on Tuesday came from junior midfielder Ashley Mauck late in the second half.

With 4:31 to go in the match, Mauck headed a ball through the net to tie things up at 1-1. Shelby Schiraldi registered the assist on the score.

OU scored early in the match in the fourth minute with a goal by Morgan Trupp to put pressure on the nationally ranked Wildcats.

But Mauck was able to free herself in front of the box and head one home. The Wildcats had its fair share of chances to score, taking 18 shots and seven on goal and the BU defense allowed just seven total shots and three on goal.

Krista Hooper had the team high in shots with five and HAAC Defensive Player of the Week Rachel Theobald had two saves.
