No. 23 Baker Earns Fifth Tie of 2013

OLATHE, Kan. – The No. 23 ranked Baker University women's soccer team picked up its fifth tie of the 2013 season on Wednesday afternoon, tying MidAmerica Nazarene, 0-0.

The Wildcats are now 5-3-5 on the year and have still yet to lose a match since Sept. 8 going 3-0-4 in that stretch. Baker is now 1-0-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, while MNU moves to 9-1-3 and 1-0-2 in the HAAC.

The match was evenly matched from the start with Baker taking 16 shots and the Pioneers attempting 14.

Rachel Theobald had six saves in the shutout and Keeley Atkin and Allison Haddad each took a team high four shots for Baker.

The overtime periods were all defense, as Baker took three shots in the first overtime and MNU took one but Baker didn't attempt a shot in the second OT.

Baker will net take on Benedictine College this Saturday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. at Liston Stadium.
