The win is the first for the Wildcats since a 3-2 win at Culver-Stockton back on Sept. 28. The Wildcats improve to 6-5-6 on the year and 2-2-2 in the HAAC, while the Vikings fall to 10-4-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.
The lone goal of the night came in the third minute when leading scorer Krista Hooper scored on an assist from Shelby Schiraldi.
That goal held up and the Wildcats will next take on Central Methodist on the road in the conference finale on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m.
The Wildcats seven shots came from three players, as Hooper led the charge with three and Schiraldi and Ashley Mauck each took two apiece.
