Lady ‘Cats take down Jewell in overtime
The Lady ‘Cats continued their winning streak on Saturday evening when they defeated conference rival William Jewell College 1-0 in overtime. Jenny Haynes (pictured) scored the game winner with four minutes remaining in the first overtime on a cross from Christine Janssens. Maggie Dupes recorded her fifth shutout of the season making 2 key saves at pivotal points during the game.

Tonight's soccer games between William Jewell College and Baker University will be live on the radio through an internet broadcast.

The Lady ‘Cats (7-3 overall and 2-0 in the HAAC) will open the action tonight against William Jewell (6-2, 1-0-1). The ‘Cats are riding a three-game win streak after defeating Avila University 3-0 on Tuesday evening. Alix Schiraldi scored two goals
giving her eight on the season, which ranks her sixth in the conference. The ‘Cats are currently receiving 29 votes in the NAIA Top 25 poll.
The No. 6-ranked and undefeated Wildcat men’s soccer team (6-0-3, 0-0-2) will look to grab their first conference win of the season, after recording back-to-back ties to open up conference play. William Jewell comes into play (7-2, 1-1). The Cardinals only conference loss came to Benedictine College on Sept. 26.

Lady 'Cats win conference opener at Central Methodist University
Maggie Dupes was stellar in goal yet again as she recorded a 5-0 shutout Saturday evening. Dupes (pictured) made three saves en route to her second consecutive shutout and fourth shutout of the 2009 season.
Alix Schiraldi, Mikayla Medlock, Gina Schiraldi, Christine Janssens and Rachel Shepard all record goals as the 'Cats improved their record to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in conference.
Baker will be back in action Tuesday evening when they take on Avila University (5-4, 1-0) at 6 p.m. at Liston Stadium.

Baker women’s soccer takes down Buena Vista
The Baker women got back on track Sunday afternoon when they took on NCAA DIII Buena Vista University. The scoring came early and often in the first half. Christine Janssens scored the first goal just 2 minutes into regulation on a great cross from Gina Schiraldi.

Lady 'Cats soccer take down No. 22 Olivet Nazarene University
Things are starting to come together for the Baker University women's soccer team. The Lady 'Cats claimed their fourth straight victory on Friday afternoon when they defeated No. 22 Olivet Nazarene University.
Mikayla Medlock scored two goals en route to the 4-1 victory. Baker will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Olathe, Kan., to take on Southern Nazarene University.

Women's Soccer receives votes in NAIA Top 25 poll
Since dropping their season opener at Hastings College, the Lady ‘Cats haven't looked back. Baker went 2-0 last weekend with a 5-0 shutout victory over Missouri Baptist University, and a 1-0 shutout victory over No. 12 McKendree University. Alex Schiraldi (pictured) ended her goal scoring streak of 4 against McKendree on Sunday. As of September 8th , Baker is currently receiving 10 votes in the NAIA Top 25 poll. Lady ‘Cats upset No. 12 McKendree
The Baker women's soccer team continues to keep their momentum rolling. On Sunday afternoon the women upset 12th ranked McKendree University by a score of 1-0. Christine Janssens (pictured) scored for the second straight game helping Baker improve to 3-1 on the season. Maggie Dupes recorded her second shutout of the season en route to the 1-0 victory. Lady 'Cats defeat Missouri Baptist
The Baker women continued their hot streak on Saturday posting a 5-0 shutout over Missouri Baptist University. Alix Schiraldi continued her goal -coring streak netting her fourth goal of the season en route to victory. Also chipping in with goals were Ashley Ukena, Mikayla Medlock, Jen Sampson and Cara Hollingsworth.
Baker will take the field again tomorrow afternoon when they face McKendree College. The Baker women improved their overall record to 2-1 on the season.
