BU Defeats McPherson, Falls to Newman

WICHITA, Kan. – The Baker University men's and women's tennis teams took on Newman University and McPherson College over the weekend, with the men's team going 0-2 and the women's squad splitting the series winning at McPherson.

The weekend began at Newman with the men falling 9-0 and the women dropping its match also 9-0.

In the doubles portion Michael Draper and Gavin Webster fell by a score of 8-2, Aaron Greenbaum and Theo Nichols teamed up and fell in its doubles match 8-3 and Ryan Gleue and Dylan Geick dropped its doubles match 8-1. For a look at the singles scores please see below.

The women's squad had doubles partners of Megan Henry and Jaimie Myers who fell 8-1, Caitlyn Metsell and Lulu Ruding fell 8-3 in their doubles match and Caroline Lockwood and Bre Cunningham dropped its doubles match 8-2. The singles scores can be found below.

On Saturday, Feb. 8 the Baker men's tennis team took on No. 25 ranked McPherson and fell 8-1.

The one victory for the Wildcats came when Greenbaum and Nichols defeated its McPherson doubles counterpart by a score of 8-6.
