Baker Finishes 10th at Pre-Nationals

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Baker University women's cross country team competed in the NAIA Pre-Nationals race at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kan., on Saturday. The squad took 10th place out of 30 total teams with an average time of 1:38:07.73.

Lauren Jaqua was the top finisher for the team placing in 15th with a time of 19:01.17. Jillian Bensen placed in 36th with a time of 19:23.39, while Megan Rosa finished in 56th place with a time of 19:37.63.

Kerry Kurta finished in 82nd place with a time of 20:01.28, while Ashley McBride finished in 86th place with a time of 20:04.26.

Rachel Ash placed 125th with a time of 20:43.27 and Shelby Stephens took 158th place with a time of 21:26.45.

Amanda Moody and Aadrian McOllum rounded out the women's team with Moody finishing in 191st place with a time of 22:07.63, while McOllum ran a time of 24:39.87 finishing in 249th place.

The women's squad will next travel to Winfield, Kan., to compete in the Mid-States Classic on Saturday, Oct. 26.
