Freshman Lauren Jaqua named HAAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Freshman Lauren Jaqua was named HAAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Jaqua, a freshman out of Lansing, Kan., led the Baker women at the Southern Stampede with a time of 18:56 in the women’s 5k race to finish 46th out of 302 runners.
Additionally, the Baker women’s cross country team received 93 votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, good enough for 26th nationally.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Sept. 25th when they travel to Stillwater, Okla., to participate in the OSU Jamboree.

Baker men and women take third-place at Maple Leaf Invitational
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University women’s cross country team took third-place Saturday afternoon at the Maple Leaf Invitational. Freshman Lauren Jaqua led the Baker women with a time of 15:35.80, good for seventh-place overall in the women’s 4k run.

Maple Leaf Invitational set for Saturday
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - With some of the top teams in the area traveling to Baker University this upcoming weekend, head coach Zach Kindler feels as if the Baker cross country teams will have an opporitunity to measure themselves early.
On the women’s side, No. 14 Kansas Wesleyan will enter the invitational as the favorite. The Baker women enter as defending champions.
“I’m pretty excited about this meet,” said head coach Zach Kindler. “I think we’ve got the talent and potential, we’re just taking things one day at a time.”

Kindler and company will look to make a splash in the HAAC
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - Baker University cross country coach Zach Kindler is thrilled the 2010 roster resembles the 2009 list of Wildcat runners.
The Wildcats return their top five runners from the men's and women's squad. Kindler, entering his fourth season at Baker, hopes the experience of placing fourth in the women's Heart of America Athletic Conference meet and fifth in the men's HAAC meet carries over this fall.

Baker women take 4th at HAAC Championships
LIBERTY, Mo. - The Baker women didn't quite perform up to their standards on Saturday afternoon at the HAAC Championships. The women posted an overall time of 1:53:02.54.
Corinna Papps led the way for the Baker women posting a time of 22:15.15 in the 5K race. Following closely behind were Devin Freeman who came in 19th with a time of 22:21.31 and Molly Schmeidler who placed 20th with a time of 22:25.02.

Corinna Papps leads the way at Mid-States Invitational
The Baker runners traveled to Southwestern College this past weekend to participate in the Mid-States Invitational. Freshman Corinna Papps (pictured) led the Baker women to a 7th place finish out of 22 teams, posting a time of 19:43.77 (27th overall).
Freshman Lindsey Brown placed 34th with a time of 19:59.15 in the women's 5k run. Baker will be idle next weekend before they head to the HAAC Championships the following weekend. View the full results.

Lindsey Brown continues to dazzle with third-straight top 10 finish
The Baker women's cross country team traveled to Butler Community College this weekend to participate in the Ollie Isom Invitational. Freshman Lindsey Brown continued her streak of top 10 finishes by completing the women's 4K run in 15:26.25 for 10th place.
Freshman Corinna Papps had another good showing, placing 18th with a time of 15:43.91.
The Baker women placed fourth with a time of 1:19:53.60.
