Baker got back in the win column at 149 pounds with freshman Brett Delich escaping with a close 7-6 decision over Brandon Starkey. At 157, freshman Nathan Sommer recorded the third major decision for the Wildcats with a 20-10 victory over Jordan Brooks. Teammate Jakob Price recorded the dual meet's first fall by pinning Concordia's Keith Polsen at 165. The lone junior in Baker's lineup, Clarence Jordan, kept the momentum going with an 11-2 major decision over Brian O'Shaughgnessy.
At 184, Baker's Jacob Nowak received a forfeit because Concordia was open. Freshman Brandon Gebhardt finished Brooks Bowthorpe with a quick fall in 1:08 at 197 pounds. At heavyweight, Concordia claimed its second victory of the dual with Barry Hubbard winning by decision over Baker's Michael Faison, 4-2.
Baker will compete Sunday, Nov. 22 at the University of Missouri Open in Columbia, Mo. Action starts at 9 a.m. Baker will have one more open tournament at the University of Nebraska-Kearney before Christmas break.
