Academically, Hanson excelled in the classroom as an honor roll student, earning only one B in his four years at BHS, every other grade being an A. He was named first-team KWCA Academic All-State and has been nominated as an Academic All-American. The list will be released in May.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - After successfully completing his first season as head coach, Jimmy May wasted no time in hitting the recruiting trail this off-season. He didn't have to travel far. Baldwin High School standout Josh Hanson signed a letter of intent on April 2, 2010.
Hanson, a three-time state qualifier for the Bulldogs, placed third at state as a senior, owning a 43-9 record. Hanson is one of only seven BHS wrestlers to win 40 matches in a season. He also finished with 126 career wins, placing fifth on BHS' all-time wins list.
