Baker blasted Calumet College 41-9 using two falls on Friday evening. Jake Price and Brandon Gebhardt each recorded pins for Baker. The Wildcats, ranked 23rd in the NAIA, improved to 5-0 all-time in duals.
Jordan McGuire, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., put Baker on the board defeating 133-pound Anthony Lovejoy 7-4. Baker had fallen behind 3-0 after dropping the 125-pound opening match, but never looked back after McGuire’s victory.
165-pound Jake Price gave the Wildcats a 23-3 advantage after recording a fall against John Tyler in just 1:53. 197 pound Brandon Gebhardt all but closed the match out giving Baker a 41-3 advantage after recording a fall against Anthony Nichols at 2:56.
