Olivas was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament for his efforts. Along with Olivas, Shadrach and Gebhardt three other Wildcats competed in the finals of their weight class including Bo Pursel who took second in the 133-pound class. The first-time freshman was competing in his first ever collegiate meet.
Senior Nathan Sommer competed in the finals of the 165-pound class and earned runner-up in that division and fellow senior Parker Owen took second in the finals of the 184-pound class.
Other Wildcats that performed well were, Kevin Magdael who took fourth in the 125-pound weight class and Bryce Hood finished just behind Olivas in the 141-pound category with a fourth-place finish and Nick Haugen took third in the 149-pound division.
157-pound wrestler Connor Middleton took home third-place and teammate Nick McLean placed fourth in the 165-pound weight class.
In the 174-pound weight class, Jakob Price placed with a third-place finish and John Hambleton finished just behind him in fourth. Baker will next travel to Lindsborg, Kan., this Saturday, Nov. 10 for the Swede Open hosted by Bethany College.
