Baker senior Brandon Gebhardt also moved up in the individual NAIA rankings, now becoming the No. 1 ranked heavyweight in the country. He defeated the previous No. 1 ranked heavyweight, Eric Thompson of No. 1 ranked Grand View, 5-3, in the Desert Duals. He becomes the first wrestler in the history of the Baker University program to be ranked No. 1.

Five other Wildcats were nationally ranked on the individual list including Joel Olivas who is ranked No. 9 in the 141-pound class, Nick Haugen came in ranked No. 9 in the 149-pound division, Nathan Sommer also came in ranked No. 10 in the 165-pound weight class, Parker Owen moved up from No. 12 to No. 6 in the 174-pound division and Robert Schadrach came in ranked No. 11 in the 197-pound class.
