Baker Wrestling to Host Summer Camp

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The nationally ranked Baker University wrestling program will host its Youth Summer Camp this June 11-14 for wrestlers of all ages 6 and up.

The camp participants will receive 1-on-1 instruction from members of the nationally renowned Baker wrestling program and will have the chance to meet and work with newly hired head coach Pete Di Pol.

Other camp staff members include Baker assistant coach Levi Calhoun, former Baker head coach Jimmy May, current Blue Springs High School head coach Mike Hagerty and Staley High School head coach Gary Mayabb.

Each camper is guaranteed seven live wrestling matches, official camp T-shirt, commemorative camp poster and exposure to a premier wrestling program.

For campers that would like to sign up as a resident wrestler and will stay overnight on campus the cost is $295 and includes a room in the residence halls and meals.

If a wrestle is not staying on campus and signs up as a commuter the cost is $195 and includes meals. A wrestler who signs up as a commuter without meals, the cost is $150.

A $75 deposit is required with each application and the applications are due by June 5. Please mail registration and check to Baker University, Attn: Levi Calhoun, PO Box 65, Baldwin City, KS 660006. Please make checks payable to Baker University Wrestling.

Each camper is also asked to bring proof of insurance with you.
