Meet the Gessner Hall Staff
Emilee Sumler is the senior resident assistant in Gessner and a senior art education major from Anderson, Missouri. She participates in the Baker Art Club and came to Baker because of the great education and art programs. Her hobbies include art, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She can't wait to be an SRA because she loves meeting new residents and creating fun programs that everyone will enjoy.
Ian Calkin is a music major from Independence, Kansas. He loves to play basketball and video games. He feels that Baker is his home away from home and is involved with football and band. Ian looks forward to being active in the community and getting to know his residents.
Christian Jackson is a sophomore business and sports administration major. He is from Kansas City, Missouri, and came to Baker to play football and meet new people. He loves basketball, video games, and hanging out with friends. As an RA, he looks forward making new friends and providing a fun environment for his hall.
Alex Smith-Gauna is a sophomore exercise science major from Lawrence, Kanas. He participates in varsity baseball, and he chose Baker because of the smiles and friendliness. Alex’s favorite color is blue and he loves eating pineapples. Alex is excited to being an RA to continue the tradition of welcoming and helping incoming Wildcats.
James Newton is a junior computer science major from DeSoto, Kansas. He enjoys reading, Speech Choir, being part of the tennis team, and eating pie. He chose Baker because he really enjoyed the atmosphere. He is likes being an RA because it gives him ways to help people.
