What Items Are Prohibited?
Other GuidelinesShower curtains are used in the bathrooms. Mattress covers are required and will be available at an additional charge of $25. The covers can be purchased from the hall directors the day you move in. We encourage you to also bring basic cleaning supplies for your bedroom and bathroom, including disinfectant cleaning solutions, sponges, toilet brush and cleaner, glass cleaner and furniture polish or spray. A limited amount of cleaning supplies will be available from housekeeping. All residents of Gessner and Irwin halls and the New Living Center are required to purchase a meal plan for the Harter Union dining room. Cooking in the residence halls is not allowed, so please do not bring hotplates, grills, toaster ovens or any appliance that is heat-generated by an open flame or coils (Foreman Grills are also prohibited). Microwave ovens with low wattage are allowed. These policies are put in place and enforced by the local fire marshal. |
