Our finance certificate program is built on four finance courses that prepare you for the challenges you will face as a finance professional:
FIN 510 Investments and Portfolio Management - 3 hrs.
You will investigate the complexities of investments, portfolio management, and security analysis. You will learn how to manage an investment portfolio, distinguish risk and return diversification, and identify the impact of economic and market variables. You will also examine how the stock market behaves during a financial crisis and build strategies for managing investments during crises.
FIN 520 Advanced International Finance - 3hrs
Examine the financial complexities inherent in operating a multinational firm. Analyze the distinctive risks and opportunities presented in the international financial environment, evaluating the use of global markets as sources of financing.
FIN 540 Strategic Corporate Finance - 3hrs
In this advanced course, you will examine the financial operations of a business, with an emphasis on capital budgeting and cash flow. You will also explore trend analysis and the ethical management of financial documents.
FIN 550 Integrated Financial Planning - 3hrs
You will create a financial plan that manages the entire spectrum of personal finance, from credit and insurance needs to estate and retirement planning. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the impact of government requirements related to estate planning issues and assess the tax advantages that select investments possess.
