Faculty, staff honored for years of service to Stormont-Vail
Several Baker University alumni were recognized at the 49th annual Stormont-Vail HealthCare Employee Awards banquet in February. Janet Creager, a 1965 Baker graduate and student affairs specialist, was honored for five years of service.

Also at the ceremony, Brooke Faria da Cunha, ’10, received the Manuel E. Pusitz and Anne B. Pusitz Award. She works on the third floor pavilion. The award is given annually to four Stormont-Vail HealthCare employees who have distinguished themselves by going beyond the usual demands of their duties and performing exemplary acts of compassion, caring or communication with Stormont-Vail patients.
Earlier last year, the Stormont-Vail Foundation Excellence in Nursing Awards went to two Baker graduates: Dana Jones, BSN ’04, RN, 7 North, nursing leadership; and Jami Potter, emergency department, nursing practice.

Laci Lingenfelter, BSN ’08, recently received the Excellence in Nursing Practice award from the Eta Kappa Chapter-at-Large of Sigma Theta Tau.
Michelle (VanDeCreek) Swift, BSN ’01, and her husband, Travis, will celebrate their 11th anniversary in August. They welcomed their first child, Abigail Veronica Swift on Feb. 5, 2011.
