To register for a course, please fill out the form below and remit payment using a debit or credit card. For questions regarding payment, please contact The Business Office at Business.Office@bakeru.edu.

Continuing Education FAQ

  • Anyone who has completed a bachelor’s degree is eligible to enroll in continuing education courses. Baker’s continuing education programs are designed for educators who seek additional graduate credit to meet state recertification requirements, increase knowledge in a particular subject area, or enhance their earning power.

  • Students must register online and allow one or two business days to process the enrollment request. A confirmation letter is emailed following the receipt of registration. Baker University reserves the right to cancel a course because of insufficient enrollment.

  • Baker University’s continuing education courses are asynchronous, meaning there are no “live” class sessions. Instructor-led, asynchronous classes allow you to access course materials at any time during the weekly modules, take part in discussions with your instructor, and participate in threaded discussions with your peers. Baker University uses Moodle as our online course management system and our online instructors are trained in best practices for facilitating a stimulating and productive online learning experience.

    Continuing education courses are created with the PK-12 educator in mind. Baker is committed to offering course content applicable and relevant to today’s PK-12 classrooms.

  • Guidelines of excellence and quality indicate that success is better ensured by continuing education participants if they limit the number of credit hours to 9 credit hours of enrollment per term. A continuing education participant may make a written appeal to the director of continuing education to enroll in additional credit hours.

  • Graduate credit hours earned through continuing education may apply to a degree program. However, students are strongly encouraged to contact the university they will apply to and inquire about their transfer policies.

  • Tuition is refunded in full if a withdrawal is received before the first class session of a course. A 90 percent tuition refund is given if a withdrawal request is received before the second class session. No refund is given for a withdrawal request received after the second class. Technology fees are nonrefundable.

    The date of receipt of the official withdrawal request is the date used in determining if a tuition refund is due. A withdrawal after completion of 50 percent of the course results in a W grade.

  • Refund of full tuition requires written notification of withdrawal received before the first class session of a course.

    A 90 percent refund requires written notification of withdrawal received before the second class session of a course.

    Withdrawal after the second class of a course results in no tuition refund.

    Technology fees are nonrefundable.

  • New Baker students: Access to your Baker account will not be available until you have received your login information. Please watch for an email from Baker University Tech Support within the next three business days.

    If you do not receive your login information within three business days, please check your junk/spam folder before contacting Tech Support. You can submit a Help Desk ticket here.

    Returning Baker students: If you have taken a course with Baker before and cannot remember your username and password, you can reset your password using the Baker Access self-service management website: https://access.bakeru.edu.

  • A receipt for your continuing education purchase is emailed immediately after your registration has been submitted. In the event you do not receive a receipt, please request one using following form. https://bakeruniversity.formstack.com/forms/receiptrequestform

  • To access your unofficial transcript:

    • Log in to your student portal.
    • Under the “Academics” tab, you will see a drop-down menu, choose “Degree Audit.”
    • Click on “Unofficial transcript” to review your grades.

    If you want a hard copy of your transcript, please click the “Order a Transcript” link. This will bring you to Baker University’s transcript request form.

    If you’d like to order an electronic transcript, you can click the “Order a Transcript through the Student Clearinghouse” link. This will bring you to the Transcript Ordering Center through Student Clearinghouse.

  • The 1098-T tax form is located in the student portal (https://my.bakeru.edu) under My Account > View 1098t > Tax year. Unfortunately, Baker University is not legally able to email this document to you.
