Kansas Nurse Educator Services Scholarship

The Kansas Nurse Educator Services Scholarship is awarded to MSN students who agree to teach in a nurse education program at a Kansas postsecondary educational institution. Recipients will teach one year for each year of assistance.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

Master of Science in Nursing students are eligible for these federal loans:

Federal Direct Stafford Loans fall into two categories: subsidized and unsubsidized. Subsidized loans are based on need and the federal government pays the interest while you are in school. Unsubsidized loans are not need-based, but you must pay the interest while you are in school or it will be added to the principal at repayment.

Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) are not based on need, but a FAFSA form must be filed. The maximum your parent may borrow is cost of attendance minus any financial aid that you receive.

Students who wish to be considered for financial aid are required to fill out two forms: the Baker University Application for Admission and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Follow these steps:

  1. Create an FSA ID
  2. Complete FAFSA Application Online
  3. Apply for Loans
