Baldwin City Campus
As a student in Baker University's undergraduate education programs on the Baldwin City campus, you will learn the skills you need to teach the next generation of learners. Baker's reputation for producing top teachers puts you in high demand.
Our degree and licensure offerings include general elementary (K-6), three areas specific to the middle level (5-8) and 11 areas of licensure at the secondary level (6-12). In addition, we offer programs in the arts, foreign languages and physical education and health that lead to certification at all levels (pre-K-12).
From a curriculum firmly based in the arts and sciences, you will develop the communication skills to express ideas clearly orally and in writing. You will develop the creativity and problem solving and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in the challenging and rewarding field of education. Long before graduation, you will get hands-on classroom experience. Baker students work closely with area schools to secure student teaching positions and jobs after graduation.
After leaving Baker, you will have not only the necessary knowledge but also the confidence to take on a classroom of your own.
