About Dr. Pascoe

Dr. Abraham Pascoe serves as Assistant Professor of Data Science in Baker University’s College of Arts & Sciences. His teaching supports students as they develop skills in data analysis, mathematical reasoning, computational thinking, and the interpretation of quantitative information.

Before joining Baker, Dr. Pascoe served as a visiting professor of mathematics and data science at William Jewell College. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, where his doctoral research focused on commutative algebra.

His research interests include topological properties of spectra, vanishing of local cohomology modules, and Lyubeznik numbers, particularly involving Stanley-Reisner rings. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Local Cohomology of Subspace Arrangements and Simplicial Homology.”

At Baker, Dr. Pascoe contributes to a student-centered academic experience that connects data science, mathematics, and analytical problem-solving. His work helps students build a strong foundation for graduate study, technical careers, research, and data-informed decision-making across disciplines.
