About Dr. Morris

Dr. Erin Morris serves as Professor of Biology in Baker University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Her academic expertise is in molecular plant genetics, and her work supports students studying biology, health care, and the natural sciences.

As Healthcare Professions Advisor, Dr. Morris helps students understand the academic preparation, course planning, and professional expectations connected to graduate study and careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, biomedical research, and related health fields. Her advising role connects students’ academic interests with long-term professional goals.

Dr. Morris also serves as Chair of the Department of Biology & Chemistry, supporting academic programs that prepare students for scientific careers, graduate education, professional school, and research opportunities. Through her teaching, advising, and departmental leadership, she helps students build the scientific foundation and critical thinking skills needed for success in health care and the life sciences.
