Information

Dr. Ronald Knight-Beck is a seasoned educator and organizational leader specializing in leadership, policy analysis, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Since joining Baker University in 2016, he has been a mainstay across the SPGS and GSOE programs, translating his extensive field experience into the classroom. Currently serving as the Vice President of People & Culture at the Kansas City Art Institute, Dr. Knight-Beck leverages his role as a human resources executive to provide Baker students with real-world insights into strategic human capital and organizational efficiency. This commitment to excellence was recognized in 2023 when he received the ACE Award from the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for his innovative work in advancing DEI initiatives.

An alumnus of the University of Missouri – Columbia with an EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, Dr. Knight-Beck’s instructional portfolio spans the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. At Baker, he serves as a Doctoral Advisor and leads courses in Special and Diverse Populations (EdD), Leadership Fundamentals (MAOL), and Business Administration (MBA). His pedagogical approach is deeply informed by his 2025 book, Collective Identities: A Personal Journey to Leadership, Equity, Advocacy, and Development, which challenges students to examine how self-perception influences group dynamics and organizational leadership. By combining his background as a K-12 educator and college professor with his current executive leadership, Dr. Knight-Beck remains dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and sustainable strategic growth.
